In early spring of 2017, photographers of all skill levels embarked on a pilgrimage to the California desert community of Borrego Springs. The state had not witnessed this massive a migration of opportunists since 1849. Shutterbugs panned for gold desert sunflowers, fine focused purple sand verbena and zoomed on white desert primrose hoping to strike it rich with these vibrant colors.
