At The Beach

Sand between your toes, the kiss of the sun on your face and the smell of the sea air in the light ocean breeze, these are the things we remember of our trips to the beach. Great treasures can be found at the beach if we are careful to look for them, Starfish hiding among the rocks, a stick to throw for our faithful canine friend, and so many birds to watch. Some who visit here collect small tokens of their visit to leave at local markers for others to see as they come for a visit to the shore. These collections stand as pieces of art which change over time as visitors leave new items and sometimes take away a souvenir of their time at the beach. What will be found on our trip in the sand? Will we leave a good book we read while there for another to enjoy? Time seems to stand still and our cares are left behind as we walk the waterline and let the waves wash over our toes. As the day draws to an end the greatest treat is still in store. As the sun sinks slowly on the horizon the sky is painted with shades of yellow, orange, purple, and red. Take a long look at natures vivid colors and carry this memory away to remember until the day you can return for another visit to the beach.

Our memories of the ocean will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone.
