On a fresh early spring afternoon my good friend and central coast photo guide Jennifer walked my camera and I along Carpinteria’s Coastal Vista Trail. Our destination would be the seal preserve at the trail’s south end, however, the journey itself provided irresistible scenes too enticing for my lens to remain capped. Leaving the campgrounds our hike gently climbed above the beach along the bluffs. We bumbled into a yellow bouquet, met a hooded wooded sorcerer, found the horse with no name and discovered a fungal beach umbrella suitable for vacationing ants.
