California’s Santa Ynez Valley revels in its vineyards, however, its most distinguishing natural feature are the gnarled oak trees which perform a twisting ballet throughout this rich landscape. On this rainy day visit, I passed by a grove with moss dangling like garland. Later, I photographed oaks spilling into a gully and along rolling hillside through a light rain. When the clouds parted backlight created a magical silhouette and a golden spotlight at the edge of the paved stage.
